MOVIES MOVIES MOVIES
Last weekend was longer than usual, and i pretty much spent it watching movies. I dont know why, but somehow, I ended up watching a bunch of very good movies.
The last ones i’ve seen are:
Memoirs of a Geisha:A girl who is sold out by her parents going through life in Japan before and after WWII
Good night and Good luck: TV power during Communist huntdown in USA
Jarhead: About the recent Irak war (Desert Storm) and the petrol issue for western countries
Lord of War: Money-making through gun trading with wars around the globe
Syriana: Nowadays Politics in Mid-East, power and economic interests
Hotel Rwanda: About the masacre between Hutus and Tutsis in 1994
The Constant Gardner: Pharmaceutic companies’ profit testing new medicins in African countries
I recommend ANY of the above mentioned. If you have the chance to watch one, dont hesitate and DO IT.
Be Water My Friend
Last weekend i saw for the first time a commercial starred by Bruce Lee in which he talks about adapting to the situations. Its pretty famous now in Spain, but i didnt see it till last saturday because i’m living without TV.
This slogan made me think of my life and how things are happening around me lately. We all have unexpected situations in our lives. Something we could never imagine before happeneds. Good and bad. Aint it great? If you dont think so, keep reading please
Situations just pop in our way and we have the fantastic power to take them as a good thing or as a bad thing. Its really all up to us.
A good thing has always a bad bit attached, even if we dont realize at that moment. Bad things also have a good side. Its like the ying-yang thing. Nothing is 100% good or 100% evil. And i’m starting to think that things really happen for a reason. Life gives us lessons everyday. Its up to us to take them or dismiss them. Its up to us if we want to learn from them and grow or let them push us down.
A lot of things have been going in my life lately. I am self aware of myself. I’m ready, awaken and alert. Gotta adapt quickly before the situations takes control over me. No time for second thoughts, regrets or frustration. I’ll do better next time. I’m sure.
As long as you’re cool, everything’s gonna work out just fine for you. Thats one thing i learnt this summer with my friend Iñaki. It’s all good. Just take it easy, smile and enjoy the ride. Really. Dont take things so seriously if you do. Relax and laugh. Its the best thing you can do when a situation is getting a bit out of hand.
Enjoy the moment my friend. Be Water.
