It’s All Good!

Chill and take it easy. Enjoy the ride…

Happy Beep-day

Thank y’all for all the messages, greetings and kisses received all throughout this “special” day for me.

I had a same’o-same’o day, started learning to program in codesys and partied a bit. It was a normal day if it wasnt for the “beep” sound i got every 10 mins. I loved it.

From here, i just wanna thank every single person who wrote me. I wanna thank YOU for thinking about me today.

Facebook me!

After last year’s new expression “Google it” (maybe the expression has been around more than a year or two already), i think that “Facebook me” will be a quite common one in 2008 (If not already in 2007 for some people too).

Facebook is a comunity that has been around since 2004 but depending on the people, if you’re not in facebook now, you dont exist. If you dont put your photos in facebook, you dont exist. If your profile, wall, new friends, apps and any other sort of stuff dont change every day or so… you dont exist.

I am part of facebook. I like it. I spend a lot of time in it. I check it a lot. Sometimes just like checking the email every second, even if I know noone will write me in such a short time. Just like opening the fridge every 5 mins to see what’s in there, as if the yoghourt was going to move or dance around with the apple juice in the dark while noone is watching.

Facebook is great, but people (I include myself too) should keep in mind one thing: Facebook needs to be fed with real life experiences. We can start new friendships through it, we can meet online people we already know in real life, but if we dont make real-life bondings, if we dont spend time and share experiences together, all the “friends list” might just turn out to be a bunch of names and faces which will have nothing to do with you but being addicted to the same drug.

Think about it…I’m gonna check if someone poked me :)

South of Spain

Its 1h24 am. Im about to go to bed but i wanted to write a few lines before i fall asleep.

Last friday i went to a friend’s party. Awesome time. Out partying till 4h30 am…6 hours later I was on my way down to the south of Spain. Cordoba and Sevilla were great. We visited Cordoba’s Mezquita on saturday afternoon and walked a bit around narrow streets painted in white and with flowers hanging on the walls. Beautiful. We drove to Sevilla later on to meet with another friend and taste a bit the night life in Triana’s neighbourhood, on the other side of the Guadalquivir river.

The following morning we had breakfast at the hostel and then walked to Plaza de EspaƱa. Nice too. Later, along the river till the Torre del Oro and then a bit further to visit the Maestranza bullring. We took the sightseeing tour and then went for some tapas. Walked a bit around the Cathedral, saw the Giralda and the surrounding neighbourhoods.

We took off back to Madrid at 18h or so, and we were in Madrid 4 and a half hours later.

It was a cool weekend and I enjoyed it very much. So far, in January i already visited Granada, Sevilla and Cordoba…seems like this year I might be able to visit all the Andalucian cities which excites me a lot, since there are actually a few i have never been to.

Tomorrow is working day as usual, but these 2 days were a very nice break.

Aquarius

7 days, 168 hours, 10080 minutes, 604800 seconds…

I dont know when i was born exactly, but my mom once told me it was early. Around 7 am if i remember correctly.

Anyways, in 7 days i will celebrate my birthday. Still in my twenties, having fun and ready for upcoming challenges.

I still dont know what i am going to do yet so suggestions about this subject will be heard and taken under consideration ;)

All presents will also be taken care of. If you require a physical address for delivery, dont hesitate to contact me via email, phone or just add a comment.

Thanks in advance! :D

PS: My favourite colour is the one you’re thinking about right now.

Driving

Everyone can drive a car. Automatic or manual. It ain’t that difficult. The only thing that is compusory really is being able to see. And with future technology, even blind people will be able to do it. I’m sure.

Driving just a car is not the same as driving in a city or on a high way. The main difference is that when you just drive a car, the only thing you have to worry about is your own car. But when it comes to driving with other people, you also have to apply some basic basic diving rules and also, why not say it, some respect, common sense and understanding.

In spain, traffic accidents were a major issue (still are) and they even came up with some very hard laws for people who speeded on highways. The driving-points system started not so long ago and so far, things are looking good for whoever came up with that great idea (probably just copied from the UK, France or any other european country). Less traffic accidents, the number of people killed in traffic accidents decreased…GREAT.

Anyways, for me speeding is dangerous, of course, but i find EVEN more dangerous people who drive as if they were the only ones on the highway. Im talking about the people who just stay in one lane. Forever. At 90 km/h (limit is set at 120 km/h). They are responsible for many traffic jams and also road rage. I’m sick of them and sick of dealing with these people every single day. Twice.

It is usually mistaken overspeeding with danger. Lets put it this way, if you have a mercedes, bmw, porsche or any of these high power cars, overspeeding is what you’d probably do. All the security systems wont make you realize how fast you are going. That’s dangerous, i agree, but most of the people who overspeed are very concentrated on their driving. They pay attention to the road and keep away all distractions. They are always alert (at least to see if the police is around or not).

On the other hand, people who just drive in one lane (normally the one most to the left) and just stay there at the same speed forever not caring about anything else but getting back home or to work, are just far more dangerous for me than those who drive fast.

I really could have a 10 h discussion about this but to make this post shorter and not to bore you, let me just send a message from here to all those selfish people who drive along the highway:

Look at the rearview mirror from time to time, leave your cellphone, pay attention to the road, show some respect for everyone around you, speed up and

MOVE TO THE RIGHT LANE ‘COS YOU’RE NOT ALONE MOTHERFUCKER!!!

Comments, thoughts and/or feelings about this will be highly appreciated. Thx

Clean up

I must admit my tidyness hasnt been THE BEST for the past couple of years (yes, years).

Although i consider myself as someone who likes to keep things clean and tidy, my actions thoughout these past years had nothing to do with it. I always try to keep things proper and say to myself that i will take care of the cleaning as soon as i finish what i am doing, but the truth is i never get started.

The mess grows little by little, very slowly but constantly, and when i see my room or my workplace, sometimes i am ashamed. My computer is a lil caos too. Files everywhere with no aparent order, unclassified stuff, random stuff all together in the same folder…

I think the reason why i pile so many “useless” stuff together in boxes comes from my way of thinking. My tendency to classify stuff and put them in a box. Sometimes i only have 1 item i cannot put in any of the already existing boxes (pens, clips, cds, papers, books…) because it cannot be classified under any category and just for 1 item, i wont make A WHOLE NEW box, so i just put it in “the random objects” box. This box starts to get bigger and bigger with stuff that is so different from one another that a “nothing in common stuff” box sounds like a good place for them. For example: Eye drops. A whole box for one bottle of that?. Earplugs, A hacky sack, playing dices…The problem is sometime not so long ago, this box started to grow much faster than before, ‘cos i just put everything in there without taking the time or effort to think and make a classification, and now things got out of control.

As i have been postponing this for so long and i started to get tired of it, i told myself i was gonna put and end to it. Even if this takes time, valuable time i could be spending on something else, something more fun, i think it will be for the best to just clean up everything. Make a fresh start and from that day on, try to pay more attention and leave as less mess as possible around me.

I started last week. Step by step. Little by little. I’m doing it when i feel like it and so far things are looking better but there is still more to go. This is a neverending task i guess, but I rather spend time on myself and my tidyness and be confortable than not doing so.

Chop chop!

PS: If you find errors, misspellings or any other sort of mistakes in this text or in future ones (i know there will be. They sure will be), please dont be timid, take a bit of your time and write me a mail with your comments so i can correct them, learn from them, improve myself and get better. hvala ti :) )

What are you?

Definedly one of the best questions i heard in a while. It can refer to many things, but for me it had only one.

When people meet me, the usual questions are Where are you from? What nationality are you?Where do you live?Where were you born? and so on.

I have been asked these questions many times, but the truth is that “What are you” was a first timer. The question came from a half mexican, half filipino guy. He was quite drunk and I thought it was a friendly. question to ask.

So, What are you?

Omochitsuki Taikai in Madrid

I am home now. After a good sunday work as a volunteer in the Japanese New Year’s celebration.

A lot of people gathered together (more than 1400), mostly spanish but also japanese and half japanese. Everyone bought japanese traditional food. Like crazy. People piling up and trying to buy as much food as possible. As if the world was going to end and the last thing they wanted was to have a omochi.

I helped out in the kitchen bringing trays full of food to the main room. Quite easy, quite fun :)

It was very interesting how people are related to japanese culture in this part of the world. Manga freaks, business men or simply friends of a japanese person. They all had one thing in common: the joy of sharing a common interest in the same culture.

I liked the experience and will surely try to do it next year too :D

Average

i’ve been sleeping an average of barely 4 hours in the past 5 days…

I’m not sleeping much lately for various reasons (thursday to friday 1h30 – friday to saturday 5h – saturday to sunday 9h – sunday to monday 8h – monday to tuesday 2h30) and the botton line is: I need to sleep and rest or else i will have a serious problem.

I’ve already started noticing concentration problems, falling asleep while driving, hard remembering things, forgetting about what i was talking…But there are SO many things to be done…

I’ll try to chill and take some rest tonight, recharge my body and mind and get a good sleep for a fresh awakening tomorrow.

good night!

New years resolution

I’ve never been a fan of puting myself new goals just because it’s the 1st day of a year. I think people should try to put themselves goals whenever they really feel is the right time and not just because its a certain day. Anyday is good for a new resolution. A new goal in one’s life can be set anytime.

The important thing is to walk the talk and not just think about it. Whenever you feel ready, do it. But dont wait too long. Dont wait for an external sign to take the first step. Otherwise you’ll never start.

That been said, what’s your new-year’s resolution?

If you ask me, I will try to keep on waking my way to happiness and personal fulfilment (which is never easy). So far, i think i found the right way on 2007. Now that i know where to head to and the first part is done, i’ll start walking before I run…dont wanna get too tired before i get to my destination. As I see things, this walk will be a long distance, so I’ll try to chill, take it easy and take as many breaks on the way as I feel i need to relax. Take a step to the side to watch the view and plan my way forward. Freely, but keeping in mind where i want to go and what i need to do in advance. A clear sight of the horizont will be of much help, so whenever I feel I have too much baggage that drags me down or blurs my view, I will stop, shake it away and keep on walking.
