It’s All Good!

Chill and take it easy. Enjoy the ride…

Winter Season

Winter comes when you cant go out with just with a tshirt anymore.

The freezing breeze has arrived to Alcalá a few days ago, and it feels finally like winter. Cold air, hot chocolate. Lekker!

A good thing about the winter comming is snowboarding. I’m planning to go to the french Pirenees next week to enjoy the snow, nature and of course my friends. Quehevi has been doing all the paperwork and arrangements to get the appartment and all sorted out. THANKS!. I’m going with a bunch of friends and i’m looking forward to some downhill races, games and fun.

In the meantime, i keep working on the Catechom, having fun and still learning new things everyday. I’m starting to feel confortable around the people i work with. Good vibes and good working ambient. I like it. I feel surrounded by people who care for me and show interest for me, which is great.

Im still without internet connection, which sucks, because i became internet-dependant. Yes. My name is Miguel Utrillas, and i am internet-dependant (welcome Miguel, you’re not alone.Clap,clap,clap).

While im writing this post, im eating a tasty orange, and inevitably, i think of the slopes. My father always brought oranges to eat while skiing. I love the taste and the smell because of what it represents, good times behind and good times ahead. :)

Express Tourism

I spent last weekend in Oslo (norway).

I had really no idea whatsoever about this country except that it was next to Sweden and it was cold. My friend Nico spent a whole year in Bergen (Norway) but i didnt have the chance to visit him.

First thing i knew: They dont have Euros.

I met an old friend of mine’s brother in the airport. What a coincidence. He too went with a friend to spend the weekend abroad. Aint it great?

As soon as we arrived to Oslo, i met my HC Host Kristin. Wonderful girl sorrounded by great friends.I went home and did what norwegians do on a friday afternoon: Talk, laugh, drink and go out. Fun stuff.

On saturday, after breakfast, i went to meet Edouard, also from HospitalityClub. A french guy studying laws this year in Oslo as erasmus. After a quick pizza for lunch, i headed up to the city center and walked around. Visited Vigeland Park, the National Gallery, saw the Palace, and a little bit got a taste of the streets. Afterwards, Edouard and I met again, went to buy some stuff for dinner at Groeland and had some more time to see the cityhall, the nobel price house and the port of the city.

Dinner at the students residence was great. Edouard, his girlfriend and another spanish student, Irene. We spent the evening talking about life in Oslo, making jokes and having fun.

Sunday morning. I went to see the Holenkollen ski jump. Impressive. It was a cold sunny morning and i had time to visit a few more places before heading back home: The Contemporary Art Museum, Ibsen Museum, Gallery, History Museum, again the National Gallery, the port…I spent an average of 30-40 mins in each place to give myself an idea of the whole city cultural offer.

Back to Madrid, i waited 40 mins in the Airport for my mom to arrive from Japan, where she spent the last month visiting her parents.

Good weekend. Left me with a sense of “too fast” to really enjoy fully the visit, but i think i’m gonna do again these “express tourism”, cos it’s cheap, affordable and i really enjoy visiting new places, watching people’s lifestiles and realizing there are many ways to live life, to feel alive, to spend time and to enjoy our time on earth.

I posted some photos on Flickr.com. Check them out by clicking on the photos on the right–>

Growing up

Yesterday’s presentation was a big success.

Sam and I did pretty well for the first time EVER to do an online webcast. We’re both working pretty hard and facing some fears.

This Agel experience is going good. I can feel the success closer than ever. Things are starting to move forward after so much time of preparation. Big night is now like a dream, and all we have to do is keep on rolling, looking forward and setting new goals.

The goal of building a successful network is quite appealing, but the way of doing it itself is a hack of a fun time too. This ride is worth doing it from the beginning to the end. The rewards are HUGE, not just in a simple matter of money, but also from a personal development point of view.

I can feel getting wiser, being confortable in my own skin. I dont take new situations with fear and uncertainty. I’m beginning to face them with an open mind, looking forward to do my best and waiting to get a lesson out of everything. Like a child who is willing to learn from his teacher.

As i said before, i’m self aware now. Whenever i do anything, i can see myself doing it from the inside and from the outside. Watching myself talk, move and walk. I hear the sound of every word i say, i’m in control and i can feel it. I control myself, my emotions and my thoughts.

Be Water My Friend

Last weekend i saw for the first time a commercial starred by Bruce Lee in which he talks about adapting to the situations. Its pretty famous now in Spain, but i didnt see it till last saturday because i’m living without TV.

This slogan made me think of my life and how things are happening around me lately. We all have unexpected situations in our lives. Something we could never imagine before happeneds. Good and bad. Aint it great? If you dont think so, keep reading please :)

Situations just pop in our way and we have the fantastic power to take them as a good thing or as a bad thing. Its really all up to us.

A good thing has always a bad bit attached, even if we dont realize at that moment. Bad things also have a good side. Its like the ying-yang thing. Nothing is 100% good or 100% evil. And i’m starting to think that things really happen for a reason. Life gives us lessons everyday. Its up to us to take them or dismiss them. Its up to us if we want to learn from them and grow or let them push us down.

A lot of things have been going in my life lately. I am self aware of myself. I’m ready, awaken and alert. Gotta adapt quickly before the situations takes control over me. No time for second thoughts, regrets or frustration. I’ll do better next time. I’m sure.

As long as you’re cool, everything’s gonna work out just fine for you. Thats one thing i learnt this summer with my friend Iñaki. It’s all good. Just take it easy, smile and enjoy the ride. Really. Dont take things so seriously if you do. Relax and laugh. Its the best thing you can do when a situation is getting a bit out of hand.

Enjoy the moment my friend. Be Water.

Run baby Run

Live is wonderful, innit?

The bodylanguage presentation went JUST GREAT. Big success and most of all: A hell outta fun up there. I really liked the experience.

I’ve been doing so much stuff lately, i’ve been feeling a bit overwealmth about all the activities. But things are turning out just perfect for me, so i’ll keep up with the work.

NEWS:

I got a GREAT scholarship in my UNI. It’s in the High Technology and Homologation Center (CATECHOM) and it’s basically a Research center where Antennas and Electromagnetic Compatibility tests are held. That’s all i know for now, cos in fact, i’m starting next Monday and i havent done anything yet. The director of the Center has told me that the tests are done for leading edge companies like EADS, CASA, Indra and similar companies involved with high tech. Cool.

This means i’ll be no longer working on VidaCaixa’s Helpdesk (where i’ve been on the past month), i wont be spending 2 hours on transport everyday, since this new job’s center is IN the Uni (perfect), cos i’ll have both the work and the studies close to each other, i’ll be earning more money, and best of all: I’ll be working on something related with my studies, something i like and something very interesting and with a great future.

I have big hopes, looking forward for it and starting to fly high. This is great.

Another thing i’ve been working on is Agel, a new network marketing company. I’m investing a lot of time here too setting up the infrastructure for the spanish market. It’s taking me a lot of effort since i’m doing almost all by myself. It’s a bit stressing right now, but i think it’s worth it. I’ll be posting some more about this for sure, cos i have set my mind on this and i’m going to do whatever it takes to get this handled, make it work for me and for those who want to join.

My life now could be explained with just 3 simple words: Run baby Run

Time at the Speed of Light

I’ve been living life at the speed of light lately. When it seems I cant get to do anything else, something too interesting to just let it pass through my life without doing something about it pops in my way.

I gotta see this. I gatta check it out.  What’s this all about? What’s in it for me?

Most of the people who read this blog might already be aware of what i’m up to. Something’s cooking in my kitchen and i wanna have it all set to show it to you. But for the moment, all i have ahead is hard-work-never-ending days to set up everything.

I really have big hopes in this new project i’m into right now, and i’ll do whatever it takes to get it handle right away. I believe i can, and i’ll put my mind into it not to dissapoint myself, and the people who are also involved.

Many things, not enough time. Got to keep up with the things i’ve been working on and the new ones. That’s basically what i’m up to these days…And i just LOVE IT!  :D

24/7 Non Stop

Since I have no car, time management has become critical. I take twice or more time to get to places, and i have to find ways to use the time properly and dont waste it just sitting, looking through the bus window or the train’s.

I dont have to pay attention to the road anymore and just sitting there makes me anxious and as I have so many things to do, but not all of ‘em can be done in a moving vehicle, i figured out that reading is the best option.

Reading is ok, but how’bout if someone read the book for you? <- That’s what i thought about, and looked for a good program. And i found one: AT&T Natural Voices. Pretty interesting application.

Anyways, as y’all can see, i’m a bit bored today. Wednesday. National day in Spain. Went out yesterday night with a friend. Met some girls. Danced a little bit…Nothing great, but ok.

This morning I woke up with a different voice. I woke up ‘cos someone called me. I took the phone and answered and I was shocked: Who is calling? (And most important: Who is answering?…That’s not my voice!)

My plans for today: Finish up a Body language thing i’ve been working hard on for the past few weeks and try to catch up with the rest of the uni subjects.
